Sergio is the Director of ADRA – Acção para o Desenvolvimento Rural e Ambiente (Action for Rural Development and the Environment). He is a Development Cooperation Practitioner with almost 20 years’ experience in the development sector and holds a Postgraduate Degree in Development and International Cooperation and University Degree in Mathematics. He has occupied various positions specialising in strategic program planning, designing and development activities including humanitarian response
Deputy Chairperson
Shireen works as a Coach and Mentor and is an Advisor of Tara Transform. She holds a BProc LLB, LLM, Post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Higher Diploma in Human Resources and Higher Certificate in Coaching. She has worked in the development sector for over 17 years and has held leadership positions in the fields of human resources and organisational development, as well as director roles in women organisations that focus on ending violence against women.
Trustee
Antonio is the Coordinator of the AfDB Nacala Corridor Linkages Technical Assistance Project. Prior to this, he has been the Board Director (Non-Executive) at Autogas SA, Co-founder aimed to the business start-up and development. He also has been the Board Director (Non-Executive) at Sanlam Vida Mozambique SA, an insurance company subsidiary of Sanlam Group Ltd., from South African.
Trustee
Niven holds an MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Trade Law and Trade Policy), awarded by the University of Cape Town, as well as a BSc. (Honours) Management, awarded by the University of Mauritius. Over the past sixteen years or so, he has been operating as a Freelance Consultant as well as in Senior Management positions such as Project Manager, Chief Executive/ Secretary of the Board, Associate Evaluator for a UNDP Country Programme, Director, Manager and Programme Officer. At the same time, he has been lecturing Strategic Management and other Management Modules at various Universities and Business Schools in Mauritius. Niven is currently a Freelance Consultant and is also pursuing further research in Programme Monitoring and Evaluation at the University of Cape Town.
Trustee
Nomkhita is the CEO of the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber and sits on various local Boards. She is highly skilled in strategic leadership, with over 30 years’ experience in Sustainable Economic Development, Transformation, HR and PR, in the fields of Forestry, Agriculture, Tourism and Manufacturing. With an MBA and Master’s Degree in Labour Relations and HR, she also holds degrees in Industrial Relations, Psychology and Sociology.
Trustee
Sazini is the MD of Corporate Citizenship at Barclays Africa Group and Absa Group. A Harvard Business School graduate, her expertise lies in the development and execution of strategic plans linked to tackling social challenges in education, skills development and business development, focused on small enterprise development. She holds a double major degree in Sociology and Industrial Psychology, and a Master’s in Development Studies. Sazini has over 16 years’ experience working in government and civil society, including the corporate and private sector.
